We recently made the journey down to Melbourne for the Life in Style; Boutique Retail Trade Event.
Life Instyle is Australia's only boutique trade event showcasing emerging trends, brands and products that are on the cooler side of style and design. They are dedicated to showcasing creativity and originality by providing a platform on which many brands have built their success upon. It is also a great inspiration for emerging trends, styling and of course buying!
The idea of the event is to 'Meet Your Makers' and a collection of Artist, Designers and Suppliers invite us all to see what they have been up to lately and now we give you the inside scoop!
As in previous posts you would have heard the tale of Uashmama
and it was great to see their new range. Introducing metallic coppers and bronzes the collection has expanded to include laundry bags, backpacks, wallets and more. The Tuscan paper craftsmen and women have been busy sewing up a storm which was lucky as we were buying up one at the Uashmama
Kip & Co
have done it again with a huge offering for their summer collection. They continue to blow us away with their eclectic use of bold prints and daring colours. Their collaboration with fashion designer Mister Zimi
is especially exciting as we have been a fan of the design-savvy couple's use of exotic prints for sometime now (Amelia may even own the entire Mister Zimi back catalogue of dresses!)
The creative force behind Blacklist Studio
have obviously been hard at work and their new range Lost In Paradise
is an ultra cool nod to the tropical lifestyle. Famous for their in your face slogans they are staying true to their style and have made the smart move of framing
each piece. Their collaboration candle with Palm Beach Lillies and Leather
is an intoxicating blend for both the guys and the girls!
We had a little bit too much fun at the Greenhouse Interiors
stalls! The Greenhouse style collaborative never ceases to amaze us. They are a band of artists, designers, writers, photographers and stylists who have positioned themselves at the forefront of interiors fashion (and what a bonus they are all such nice people).
Our host, Julia Green, gave us a very warm welcome and introduced us to all the 'Willows Walls' regulars. It was such an honour to meet Ali MacNabney-Stevens
as she introduced us to some new works, one of which we fell in love with, an emotive piece titled Tears Behind the Sunnies.

The very sweet Antionette Murray of Ferwerda Art
announced to us she is releasing Limited Edition Prints of her gorgeous works. We think it's a great move on her behalf as it's an accessible way to enjoy her creations and you can expect to see some in store soon.

We were buzzing with styling ideas for the coming season when ordering the Summer collection from Emma Cleine of Lumiere Art & Co.
Beautiful art and homewares using traditional fine art techniques, her look has evolved over the last season without compromising her signature style. Lovers of her ice dye will be sure to fall head over heels this season!
